2P DIP Tact Switches' Operating Principle
The light touch Switch actually works like a normal push button switch. It consists of a normally open contact and a normally closed contact. In a four-foot tap switch, the function of the normally open contact is that when pressure is applied to a normally open contact, the circuit opens: when the pressure is gone, it reverts to the original normally closed contact, called a disconnect. Pressure is the action of turning a button on and off with our hands.
