Push-Push Ejection: The connector contains an internal cam and spring mechanism where the user pushes the card in to lock it effectively and pushes it again to release the spring and eject the media.
Electrical Engagement: As the card slides into the housing the flexible gold-plated contact beams wipe against the card pads to remove oxidation and establish a low-resistance data path.
Card Detection: A mechanical leaf switch located at the rear of the housing is physically depressed when a card is fully inserted sending a logic signal to the main processor to initialize the driver.
