Push-Push Ejection: The connector features an internal cam and spring system where pushing the card in locks it effectively and a second push releases the spring to eject the card.
Signal Engagement: As the card slides into the housing the flexible gold-plated contact beams wipe against the card pads to remove oxidation and establish a secure data path.
Presence Detection: A mechanical card detect switch located at the rear is physically depressed by the inserted card sending a signal to the MCU to initialize the driver.
