12mm Normally Metal Key Switches' Structural 

The pushbutton switch consists of a cylindrical housing, a self-resetting pushbutton cap, normally open and normally closed contacts, a reset spring, and possibly flame retardant material. The pushbutton cap is usually designed to be easy to press and reset, while the normally open and normally closed contacts are used to control the on-off of the circuit.

12mm Normally Open Key Switches' Working Principle

Static state: In the normal state (i.e., when no external force is applied), the normally open contact is in the open state. This means that the circuit is inoperative in this state.

Push Button Press: When the user presses the push button cap, the cap compresses the reset spring and moves downward. During this process, the movable contact of the normally open contact comes into contact with the static contact, creating a complete circuit path. At this time, the current can pass through the circuit path to realize the corresponding function operation.

Release the button: When the user releases the button cap, the reset spring will return to its original state and pop the button cap back to its original position. 12mm Normally Closed Key Switches' Working Principle

Static state: In the normal state, the normally closed contact is in the closed state. This means that the circuit is open in this state.

Push Button Push: When the user presses the push button cap, the normally closed contact's moving and static contacts separate from each other, thus breaking the circuit path. At this point, no current can pass through the circuit path, and the corresponding function operation will be stopped.

Release the button: When the user releases the button cap, the reset spring springs the cap back to its original position, and at the same time the movable and static contacts of the normally closed contact will re-contact, forming a circuit path. The circuit returns to the on state again.
